Surface Protection Coatings Ltd, Sika's Premier Approved Roofing Contractors, have recently completed 8No blocks of flats in Coventry West Midlands.
The project involved the full strip off of the defective existing roof coverings and the application for Sika Liquid Plastics Decothane built up liquid roofing system.
First a self adhesive vapour control layer is laid which keeps the roof water-tight as the work proceeds. Then a 130mm thick Kingspan insulation is laid with a self-adhesive carrier membrane to follow.
The liquid roofing system is then laid, first the embedment coat which incorporates a glass fibre matt followed up by a slate great Decothane top coat,
New propriety edge trims finish the job off around the perimeter and the client then received a Decothane Gamma 20 System with a single point 20 year Warranty from Sika for materials and workmanship.
