The first half of 2015 has proved to be one of our best yet.

Our Littleborough and Sheffield offices are still as busy as ever with many new and existing clients receiving the first class service we have always strived to deliver.

In addition to our existing offices 2015 saw the official launch of our Midlands Office and following this we have gone from strength to strength securing many projects in the region and ensuring our Quality Assured Contractors are kept very busy.

Coventry BlocksWe have completed, and still working on, many tower blocks installing a Sika Decothane Gamma 20 System, before dropping down to the balconies and completing the waterproofing works there. Feedback from clients, residents and the local MP has been very positive commenting on the workmanship, housekeeping and general courtesy of the teams involved. A huge thank you to the teams there for helping us extend our high level of  attention to customer service throughout the Midlands.

Spring certainly turned out to be a romantic time here seeing two of the Surface Protection Team tie the knot. Our Contracts Manager Darren Bamber was the first down the aisle marrying Emma, followed a week later by our Business Development Manager, Scott Goodwin's wedding to Samantha. We're sure you'll join us all here at Surface Protection in wishing them a lifetime of happiness.

Summer 2015 has seen our lads working on several jobs by the seaside, completing some interesting and challenging projects, not to mention competing with some very enthusiastic seagulls! Summer by the Seaside

Surface Protection have been involved in the restoration of Cleethorpes Pier, applying a Sikalastic 625 System to the barrel roof ready for the grand opening at the height of the summer.

Meanwhile in Bridlington the fish quay was having a Sika Decothane Gamma 20 System applied to the roof and wall which dropped straight into the sea. An extremely challenging project but completed to our usual high standards.

Down on the south coast The Old Ship Hotel in Brighton, chose Surface Protection to undertake works using a cold applied Sikalastic 15 Year System onto an existing mineral felt surface.

Towards the end of the Summer the teams were pulling out all the stops to complete several projects on schools in the Yorkshire and Manchester area ready in time for the new term. Woodlands AcademyThe project featured here was completed using a Sika Decothane Delta Liquid Roofing System with 130mm Insulation and finished off with an anti-slip walkway and Versirail Handrail to the perimeter.

Other similar projects were completed throughout the regions including the second phase being completed at The University of Manchester. Our Quality Assured Contractors were chosen to carry out the work using the Cold Applied Low Odour, Seamless Sika Liquid Plastics 15 Year Decothane Ultra System. As the system is cold applied there is no risk of fire so the works can be completed with no disruption to the University below.

Towards the end of 2014 Surface Protection Coatings worked closely with Sika to trial and launch their new Low Odour Decothane Ultra product. The product has been designed specifically for use in highly sensitive areas such as Hospitals, Schools and Manufacturing Plants. 2015 has seen the product become extremely popular and since the trials Surface Protection Coatings have laid well in excess of 25,000m², with many more projects already planned in for next year.

Hallamshire CarparkAs we head towards the end of the year Surface Protection have also experienced growth in the Concrete Repairs sector. Whilst the weather may play a part in the time we can spend on the roofs, our teams are kept busy elsewhere and a number of projects have been carried out on multi storey car parks. To keep disruption to a minimum much of these works have been completed at weekends and throughout the night.

2016 will be getting off to the same flying start as this year with many projects already planned in for the first week back in January. As always keep an eye on our blog and social media pages for regular updates on our projects.

DuckEveryone at Surface Protection Coatings would like thank their customers for all their support throughout 2015. We hope you have a great Christmas break and all the very best for 2016.

We look forward to working with you in the New Year!
